Obituary of Daniel J. Anderson

Daniel J. Anderson, age 64, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 24, 2018 from complications associated with diabetes, dementia and depression. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Gayle Laurel Leeby Anderson and one brother, Craig. He is survived by his wife, Patricia E.; father, Richard and wife, Sandra; brothers, David and Scott; sister, Rebecca Foster; three sons: Garrett K., Chad W. (Jenna) and Timothy J. (Nicola); one step-daughter, Jenny M. Gray and one grandchild, Cecilia V. Sanders. Daniel began repair work at the age of 12, which developed into his own business, Dan's Repair. He earned a certificate in Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling in October of 1995. Dan had a wide variety of jobs before finding his career in commercial building maintenance and restaurant technical maintenance, which he excelled at. One of his highest achievements was in helping with the July 1996 opening of the Rainforest Cafe in Disney World, Florida, after the successful opening in the Mall of America. Dan also worked on the other store openings around the country. He worked at many restaurants in the twin cities, repairing their kitchen equipment and building structures. In his free time, he enjoyed boating on Lake Minnetonka, the St. Croix River and the Mississippi River to Lake Pepin. Interment will be Labor Day weekend at the family plot in Fargo N.D.
