Obituary of MaryAnn Berg

MaryAnn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by abundance of love and her devoted family on Sept. 21, 2016. MaryAnn Berg was born to Mary and Jack Peacock on June 16, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minn. MaryAnn worked at various places as a waitress but her first love was taking care of her children, grandchildren and neighbor kids. She was a strong supporter of the community and gave back in many ways, including being a Foster Grandmother and volunteering for Special Olympics. Her passions included camping, knitting, crocheting and craft shows. MaryAnn was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Berg; her parents; three of her children, Joseph, Ronald, and Robert; her sister Frances Golley; and her son-in-law Robert (Spider) Wheatley. Her legacy of caring and kindness will be carried on by children, Deanne (Doug) Hildenbrand, Cheryl Wheatley, John (Jill) Berg, Alison (James) Sutherland, Roberta Berg-Reed, James Berg, Jerry Berg and her sister Judith Peacock, along with her very loyal campaign Milo. She was also very blessed with 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank her special nurse Sherri. She will be dearly missed by all she touched. Visitation: 9:30 until the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Cathedral Christ the King Church.
