Obituary of Robert C. Curtis

Robert C Curtis Sr., 85, of Duluth, passed away Saturday Sept. 24th, 2016. He was born in Duluth on April 25th 1931 to Fred and Mable (Ofstedal) Curtis. Robert attended Denfeld High School and graduated in 1951. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955. Robert worked as a sheet metal worker retiring from A.W. Kuettel and Son’s. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of 63 years; brother Fred; son’s Robert Jr (Jody), Tom (Pat); daughter Cheryl; grandchildren, Mike (Andrea) Curtis, Tim (Jessie) Curtis, Jordan and Hanna Curtis; great grandchildren, Holly and Elliot Curtis and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Haven Assisted Living and Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Hospice for Bob’s care. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 29th at 3 p.m. at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, with a visitation one hour prior.
