Obituary of Delphine Ann Michon

Delphine Ann Michon, 87, of Duluth passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born March 6, 1929 to the late Floyd and Dora Grover. Raised in Morgan Park where she later raised her own family. She was a long time member of St. Margaret Mary's Church. Worked as a teacher's aide at St Jean's and Lincoln Elementary and cleaned at the Medical Arts Bldg. She was dedicated to her family, extended family and friends. She was known for her talent of making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, which were distributed around the world. Her family and friends will always remember the "wine and cheese" parties she hosted annually so people would simply "get together". Preceded in death by husbands, James Grundstrom and Ernest Michon; brother, Floyd (Ray) Grover; sisters, Delores Lee and Diane Armstrong. Survived by children, Susan (Bob) Davis, Terre Haute, Ind., Richard, Oakland, Calif., Karen (Dick) Petersen, Iron River, Wis., Beth Davey, Terre Haute, Ind., Terese (Chris) Foucault, Duluth; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, six step children, and their families; brother, Dennis (Edith) Grover, Garden Grove, Calif., sister, Mary Klang, Duluth; many nieces and nephews. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Friday, Sept 30, 2016 in the Cremation Society of MN, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth. Fr. James Bissonette will officiate. A gathering of family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
