Obituary of Karen D. Orr

Karen D. Orr, 74, of Superior, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016. Karen was born in Duluth, Minn. on Nov. 11, 1941, to Layton and Pearl (Sundeen) Orr. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Orr and sister, Shirley Kempton. Karen is survived by her lifetime partner and loving caregiver Cliff Strand; son, Randy Orr; grandson, Jess (Karlye) Orr; brother, Mick (Sandy) Orr; brother, Chet (Michelle) Orr; sister, Alyce Orr; brother-in-law, Dennis Kempton as well as many extended family members and friends. The family wishes to thank the Essentia Hospice staff for the wonderful care they provided Karen. Gathering of family and friends: held from 2 p.m. until the 3 pm memorial service Friday, Oct. 7 at Cremation Society of Minnesota.
