Obituary of Vera Elizabeth Greeninger

Greeninger (Hickler), Vera Elizabeth Age 87, of Monticello, passed away June 27, 2018. Vera married Earl Greeninger on May 26, 1951. Vera is survived by their children, Jan (Jim) Biegler, Cheryl (Rich) Wilke, Karen (Dick) Taylor, Butch (Missy) Greeninger & Charlene (Tom) Williams; also survived by special nieces, Sheila (Russ) Greninger & Pam (Duane) Munt; sisters, Loretta Roden & Donna (Dan) Kellas; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren & many more good friends & relatives. Preceded in death by husband, Earl Greeninger; parents, George & Nellie Hickler; sisters, Ruth Yeager, Charlotte Lee; brother Lyle Hickler & brother-in-laws, Howard Yeager, Erwin Roden, Rod Lee; sister-in-law Mercedes Hickler. Vera was a life-long member at St. Henry’s Church. She loved to spend time with her family, travel with her friends, garden and serve at the Monticello Senior Center. A visitation will take place July 11th at Church of St. Henry, 1001 E 7th St., Monticello, 55362, from 5-8 PM. A Christian Burial Mass will take place Thursday July 12th also at Church of St. Henry, 2:30 PM with a visitation at 1:30 PM. Memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
