Obituary of Donald Burton Kyllo

Donald Burton Kyllo Kyllo, Donald Burton age 89 of Bloomington MN, formerly of Alexandria MN, passed away October 22, 2016. He was born on July 9, 1927 in Minneapolis to the late Oscar and Gudrun (Gude) Kyllo. Survived by his daughter Debra Kyllo of Bloomington MN, son Tom (Mary) Kyllo of Bowling Green OH and daughter Nancy Kyllo of Bloomington MN and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Muriel Loe and survived by siblings Phyllis Curran, Dorothy Johnson and Richard Kyllo. Donald received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy on August 21, 1946. He loved working hard, serving his customers, Minnesota, family, friends, singing, lakes, rivers, boating, fishing and duck hunting. A special thank you to the talented and caring staff at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington for taking care of our father over the past three years. Memorial service will be held on Monday November 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church at 4439 W 50th St, Edina MN 55424. Reception will follow the service. Family and guests are invited to attend a honor guard and interment ceremony on the same day at 1:00 PM sharp at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington Foundation or St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church or donor’s charity of choice.
