Obituary of Joan ‘Joey’ Poehler

Poehler, Joan "Joey" Age 85 of Bloomington passed away on October 24, 2016. Graduated from Northrop High School in '48 and UM in '52 (Education). She began her career as a travel agent at AAA in Minneapolis and married K.C. Poehler in 1955, her lifelong partner for 55 years. Later, she became a manufacturer's rep for tennis, skiing and sailing companies. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to Jesus, an adventurous spirit and many outdoor interests such as tennis, skiing, sailing and hiking. Her lively, playful, dependable and unselfish nature attracted friends of all ages to her side. As one pal said, "Whoever put this package together had FUN in mind!" Family came first and she was adored by each member of her tribe. Joey is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Dave) Ritter, Julie Eide, Sally (Steve) Figini and seven grandchildren. Service at 1PM, Monday, October 31, Christ Presbyterian Church, Edina.
