Obituary of Deloris Mae Thompson

Deloris Mae (Lori) Thompson, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, born to John and Elzene (Morris) Winterstrom March 10, 1929, in Grand Marais MN, graduated from Grand Marias High School, died June 29, 2018 at Marywood Assisted Living in Duluth MN. She married the love of her life, Cole W. Thompson in July, 1947. She was a wonderful, loving lady making a home wherever the family lived. She loved life, family, friends, sewing club, bible study groups, and belonging to her church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cole of 55 years; brothers, John and Dewey Winterstrom; sister and brother-in-law, June (Clarence) Thompson; and 2nd husband, Lowell Oseland of 6 years. Lori is survived by daughters, Crystal Spry, Gail (Jody) Cooke, Michelle Lovaas (Dusty Denzel); grandsons, Randy (Jean) Spry and Jason (Melanie) Spry, Eric Everson, Ryan and Austin Lovaas; great-granddaughters, Katiemarie, Shawnda, Celeste, Lila, Scarlett, Adalyn, and Carly, and great-great grandson, Christopher; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. We will celebrate Lori's life July 14, 2018 at Peace United Church of Christ, 1111 North 11th Avenue East Duluth MN. Visitation at 10:00 am Service to follow at 11:00 am We want to thank all the staff's excellent care and compassion for our mother while she was living at Marywood. There could be no finer group of people than when she was staying there.
