Obituary of Wallace A. Puchalla

Wallace A. "Wally" Puchalla, 82, lifelong resident of Morgan Park and Gary-New Duluth passed away peacefully, after a short illness, Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 while at Essentia Health Care. Wally retired from U.S. Steel after 27 years of service and was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Gertrude Puchalla; and twin brothers, Earl and Virgil. Wally is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irene (Hudacek) Puchalla; children, Patrick (Cherie) of Superior and Pamela (Alan) Cunningham of Bullhead City, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Dustin (Brooke), Brandon and Kristen; two great-grandchildren. Zach and Evan. The family would like to thank the staff of Essentia 3 East Oncology for their loving care of Wally. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Nov. 12, in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 610 99th Ave. West.
