Obituary of Dorothe Bleckinger Bowes

Dorothe Bleckinger Bowes, age 98, of Edina. Born June 12, 1920, passed very peacefully June 30, 2018. Parents were Emile & Helen Bleckinger of St. Paul MN. Dorothe graduated from Johnson High School in 1937. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Bowes, her brother Bob Bleckinger, and her sister Nancy Stenger. Survived by her daughters Cindy Bowes, Betsy Theis (Robert), son Bob Bowes (Loretta), and her beloved grandchildren, Charlotte Fuzzey and Alex Bowes (fiancé Sasha Zerin). Dorothe was a successful business woman, who started at the railroad in accounting, then worked at National Car Rental and retired from MTC as a senior manager in 1983. She was an accomplished bridge player and a diehard Vikings and Twins fan. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her family, friends and neighbors at Brookside.
