Obituary of Michael Raymond Hickey

Michael Raymond "Mike" Hickey, 59, of Duluth, passed away doing what he loved, fishing in the BWCA, on Wednesday Nov. 9, 2016. Mike was born April 16, 1957 in Duluth, to Raymond "Butch" and Bernadette Hickey and lived in Duluth for his entire life. Mike was an outdoors man who loved to fish. He used to spend weeks at a time at the BWCA with family and friends. The friendships he built on the lake were lifelong. Mike was extremely loving and proud of his two children Joshua and Breanna. He never missed a sporting event or race, and was always our biggest fan. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Bernadette. He is survived by his son, Josh (Tina) Bergman; daughter, Bean; father, Butch; sisters, Terri (Richard) Kronzer, Toni (Dave) Newman, Rae Ann (Dan) Johnson; three grand dogs; and numerous nieces and nephews. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 3 p.m. Saturday Nov. 19, 2016 in the Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave Duluth. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
