Obituary of Janett Bennington

Saint Cloud, MN – Janett Bennington, 80, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls and Akron, Ohio, went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 18, 2016. She was living at the Talahi Senior Care Center in Saint Cloud, MN. Jan was born in Red Boiling Springs, Clay County, Tennessee on May 20, 1936 – the daughter of Lecture Keith and Gertrude (Denton) Keith. She was the widow of Roy Bennington, with whom she shared 13 years of marriage, from 1990 to 2003. They lived in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She was the widow of Virgil P. Hawkins, Jr. They shared 20 years of marriage, from 1958 to 1978, and lived in Akron, Ohio. Together they had three children, Anna, Virgil, and Jerry. Jan was a child of God, adopted by God’s grace, into His family – due to her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Jan is best remembered for her friendly and outgoing personality, treating everyone she met as a good friend. Jan is survived by her daughter Anna Andrews (Aaron) of Stratford, CT; son Virgil Hawkins (Linda) of Saint Cloud, MN; granddaughter Emily Gruenke and great grandchildren Brayden & Myla of St. Joseph; grandson Matthew Hawkins of Clearwater, MN; and son Jerry Hawkins of Monticello, MN. Private services will be held at a future date with immediate family.
