Obituary of Debra Kay Solberg
Debra Kay Solberg, born May 3, 1956, passed away on July 1.
Deb was born to Frank and Beverly (Schickram-Strandness) Paul and passed away after a short illness.
Deb spent her beginning years in the Richfield area, with many trips to her grandparent’s home in Emily, where she and her children enjoyed many vacations. She relocated to Winsted to have the country feeling that she so loved.
Deb loved the North Shore of Lake Superior, Door County, and most of all her lighthouses! She loved traveling with her daughter Jessica. Deb also enjoyed doing the different art adventures with Jessica. She loved to decorate her home and made it a very warm and inviting place to be.
Deb worked at Seagate Technology in many different capacities over her 40 years of employment. She loved her job and made many friends during her tenure.
Deb was an amazingly loving person and would do anything for her friends and family.
She was the best mom ever for her children, and a grandmother that would have moved heaven and Earth to see her grandsons smile.
She was also there for all of her mothers needs, and they were extremely close until her mothers passing in July 2017.
Deb is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Dale Otten of Minnesota; son, Jason Solberg and girlfriend Abigail Van Ooyen of Wisconsin; grandsons, Andrew Cardella of Arizona, and Austin Solberg of Minnesota; siblings, Sandie Dearman of Montana, Kim (Eddie) Mason of Texas, Darrell Strandness of Minnesota, and Pam Strandness of Wisconsin.
Deb was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Strandness, father, Frank Paul, and sister, Susan Vreen.
Deb has been cremated and a private memorial will occur at a later date.
