Rick and I developed a friendship 44 years ago and hit it off right away. From Dodger games, taking the boat out with the kids, arguing about the Cowboys, playing many, many games of backgammon (most of which I lost) to just hanging out at the Chicken Bucket; you could always be guaranteed a good time.
Rick told me more than once that God had Blessed him with his children and grandchildren. He loved his family dearly. My deepest condolences go out to Rick’s three children, both grandkids, his two sisters, and the rest of his family.
Rick, I am better for knowing you, better for loving you, better for having met you. May you be as Blessed in the next life, my friend, as I was in this one by knowing you. See you on the other side…until then
