Obituary of Stanley W Cramer
Stanley W. Cramer, age 81, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023 at Methodist
Hospital with his family by his side.
Stanley was born on July 3, 1941 in Minneapolis, MN to Walter and Dagney Cramer. He
attended Minneapolis schools and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He earned his A.A.
Degree from the University of Minnesota. He then went to Dunwoody and graduated as a
draftsman. During this time he met and married the love of his life, Diane, on September 1,
1962.
He worked at Control Data for over twenty years before the company downsized in 1988. He
then worked at Lakeville School District until he retired in 2006.
He loved to spend time with his family and friends up north at the cabin he proudly built. He
enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and just about anything outdoors. His wife, kids,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. He loved spoiling their dogs,
Max and Cooper. Stan and Diane also enjoyed traveling. Hawaii, Florida, California, Texas and
Tennessee were some of their favorite places to visit. He was up at 4:15AM every day to watch
Shepherd's Chapel for over 25 years.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dagney and his sister, Sharon
Cramer. He is survived by his loving wife of 60+ years, Diane; children, Tammy (Chris) Nutter,
Michelle (Brian) Ziegler, Chad (Bridget) Cramer; grandchildren: Nick, Rachael, Diane, Corey,
Cameron and Alexandra; great-grandchildren: Fredy, Stafhanie, Parker, Barrett, Caleb and
Adalynn; brother, Ron (Marty) Cramer, nieces, nephews, long time special friends, Tom and
Marlene and lots of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue
South, Edina, MN on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 1:30-4:30PM to share stories and memories
with family and friends. He will forever be in our hearts.
