Obituary of Timothy Martin Pfingsten

Timothy (Tim) M. Pfingsten, loving father and a proud veteran of the Marines, passed away Thursday, February 23rd, 2023, at the age of 63, ending his courageous fight with cancer

The son of Loren and Mary Lou (Woyke) Pfingsten, Tim was born in Anaheim, CA on October 11, 1959. He was one of five children, Tom, Twila, Terrill, and Theresa. His family moved back to Minnesota where Tim grew up in Brooklyn Center, MN. He attended Park Center High School and enlisted in the Marines at the age of 18. While in the Marines, Tim earned his GED and many other life skills. Tim was very proud to be a veteran and valued all that the Marines gave him.

When Tim was younger, he enjoyed fishing and tinkering on small engines with his Grandpa Woyke. He was mechanically minded, had the curiosity to engineer, and was always working on a project. His career had always been focused on fixing things. Tim knew how things worked and he loved the challenge in figuring out the problem. He was very creative and loved putting his ideas into action, sometimes creating a bigger mess but accomplishing them, nonetheless. Tim enjoyed technology and computers. He was known to build his own computers and was always willing to lend a helping hand in fixing others’ technology. In the last few years of Tim’s life, he relished flying his drone and taking aerial photos and videos of different landscapes.

Tim had a gift of finding common ground and could strike up a good conversation with most anyone. His loved ones remember him as being personable to all, levelheaded and practical, but always pushing boundaries.

Tim deeply loved his daughters, grandchildren, animals, and his dog, Lucy. He trained Lucy to be his companion and she was, in every aspect of the word.

Tim is survived by his three daughters, Christine (Luke) Demmer, Carla (Brad) Drenckhahn, Kelsie (Kyle) Wix and 7 grandchildren: Charlie, Hailey, Silas, Hayden, Chet, Jaida, and Sebastian; brother, Tom (Beth) Pfingsten; sister, Theresa (Jan) Pfingsten; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his; granddaughter, Scarlett Wix; parents; sister, Twila Bennett; brother, Terrill Pfingsten; nephew, Jacob Pfingsten; great nephew, Mac Parks; his dog, Lucy; and many other friends and relatives.

Burial and a brief service honoring Tim will be held May 11th, 2023 at 10am CST at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, Minnesota.

Semper Fi. Blessed be his memory.
