Obituary of David Aaron Peterson

David Peterson, 57, was born to Charles "Marshall" Peterson and Linda (Breedlove) Peterson at 11:59pm on April 9, 1965. He peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at his home.

David is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patricia Peterson. He leaves to cherish his sweet memory and handsome smile, Daughters; Jekessa Johnson, Kayla (Marcel) Peterson and Kiera Peterson, Grandchildren; Jaishardon "Jada", Donviea, Tahir and Marcel Jr., Great- Grandchildren; Antoine III, Ke'Shon Jr., and Kyrie, Mother; Linda Peterson, Sisters; Kris Peterson, Tenean Mainer, Jackie Kemp, Mary (Ricardo) Shannon, Brothers; Jeffrey (Patty) Peterson, Derrick Robinson, Roncane Robinson; Mother-in-law; Tarlie (Tot) McKinney, Sister-in-law; Tonya Shepard; Brothers-inlaw; Walter (Cee) & Dennis McKinney, Aunts; Veronica Thomas, Henri (Frank) Asbury , Sheree Breedlove; Uncle; Craig Peterson, and a host of family and friends.

David held many titles in his life, from a writer, to an athlete, to an entrepreneur, but his favorite roles were being a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather and an uncle. He also went by many names, Dave, Pete, D.A.P., PopPop and Pappy.

David fought a long hard battle with cancer for 5 years. Despite his illness, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his journey, he cracked jokes on everyone and pulled pranks. He had a great ability to make others smile. David was truly the glue to his family, his humor and personality will be missed.

He is proceeded in death by his Father, Charles M. Peterson; Sisters; Mary Peterson, Shari (Manidoo Ikwe, Spirit Woman) Pena, Grandparents, Henry & MaryLouise Cookie (Bradley) Breedlove, Erma Ross (Ma Pete); Aunt; Judith Breedlove; Cousins, Scott & Corey Jackson and Henry Breedlove.

His service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota at 2:00pm. With a visitation at 12:00pm-1:30pm.
