Obituary of Thomas J. Gallagher

Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 after two and a half years of hospice care. Survived by wife, Dorothy, of 55 years; children Kathryn (Drew) Christensen, Tim (Susan) Gallagher, Kelly (Bob) Brant, Karen (Scott) Winker; grandchildren Emily Christensen, Keegan, Peyton and Ryan Gallagher, Ashley, Adam and Isabella Brant, Anthony and Kaley Winker. Tom was born in Rockwell, Iowa. He served in the US Air Force in Italy during WWII as a radio operator mechanic gunner on B-24’s. He was a school teacher and counselor in Iowa, Europe, California (where he met and married Dorothy Rhymes from Medford, OR), and Minnesota at Sandburg Junior High School for his final 22 years. His family and being “Papa” to his nine grandchildren brought him the greatest joy in life. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, July 10th, 11 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace, St. Martin’s Campus, 21304 Church Ave, Rogers, 55374. Visitation Monday, July 9th 5 to 8 p.m. at Cremation Society, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, 55445, and at the church 1 hour prior to the Mass. Private Internment. Memorials preferred to Park Nicollet Hospice and J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice
