Obituary of Dorothy Joyce Lee Pfeiffer

Dorothy Joyce "Joy" Lee Pfeiffer, 91, of White Bear Lake, passed away on Wed, December 14, 2016. She was born on November 6, 1925 to Minnie and Joseph Lee of Willmar. In addition to her parents, Joy was predeceased by two husbands, William Jensen of Apple Valley and Karl Pfeiffer of Bradenton FL. She was also predeceased by four siblings: Sena Olson, Minnie Anderson, Lorin Lee, and Joseph Lee. She is survived by her brother Peter Lee of Cloquet, daughter Sue Kapellusch (Robert) of Hickory NC, and sons Bruce Hill (Darcy) of Forest Lake and John Hill (Valerie) of Lino Lakes. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Joy will be remembered as a generous and inspiring mother, friend, grandmother and Aunt Joy to all who knew her. She was the type of person who drew people to her and she will be greatly missed. She lived in both Florida and Minnesota. In Miami Florida, where she raised her family, she worked as a secretary for Tasco and later the US Post Office. Upon returning to Minnesota in the late 60's, she worked for the St Louis Park city schools. Eventually moving to Bradenton FL, she volunteered as a tour guide for the Manatee County Historical Park, and participated in various neighborhood activities with her many friends. In later years, she moved to White Bear Lake where she brought great joy to her extensive family and friends. Services will be held at Cerenity Chapel at Cerenity Senior Care, White Bear Lake after the New Year with interment in Roselawn Cemetery, St Paul.
