Obituary of Donna M. Hammer

Donna M. Hammer, 74, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016. Donna was born in Duluth Sept. 10, 1942, to Louis and Florence (Gelineau) Joyal. She was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family. She will be remembered for being a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald "Jerry"; her parents; brother George; and sister Diane. Donna is survived by her sons, Scott and Paul Hammer; grandchildren Michelle Marie, Jennifer Nicole and Sonja Marie; brothers Edward and Adrian Joyal; as well as many extended family members and friends. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at McCarthy Manor and Essentia Hospice. A GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 9 until the 10 a.m. memorial service Friday, Dec. 23, in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
