Obituary of Mary Lou Peterson

Beloved Mother and sister Mary Lou Peterson of Duluth passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2018 at Essentia St. Mary's Hospital. She was born June 5, 1937 in Duluth. She owned her own beauty shop where she worked as a hairdresser. She also worked as a caregiver after retiring. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Vivian Maki and grandson Joseph Grammond. Survivors include her sister Patsy (Richard) Garlow, brothers Richard (Maria) Maki, Edward (Wanda) Maki, daughters Deena (Joe) Grammond, Debra Tuttle, Danita Slosson, son Ernie Ellefson, grand children Nichole Grammond, Charles Grammond, Michael Slosson, William (Amanda) Engman, Joseph Tuttle, great grandchildren Alicia Grammond, Weston Engman, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Saturday July 28, 2018 at Duluth Gospel Tabernacle Church, 1515 W Superior St Duluth MN, with a visitation one hour prior to the Service at the Church. Lunch will follow the Service at the Church. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
