Obituary of Richard Paul DeVay

DeVay, Richard Paul, Age 87, lifelong resident of South Minneapolis passed away on December 22, 2016. He was preceded in death by wife Ione, parents Sarah and James DeVay, and brother James DeVay. He is survived by 6 daughters: Lynne (Preston), Diana, Gwen (Randy), Bernadette (Woody), Lorna and Amy (Bill), 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and by his dear friend Geraldine. Richard served as a Marine in World War II and was employed for many years by Viking Vending. He was known for his positive outlook on life and interest in others. Funeral services for Richard DeVay will be held on Saturday, December 31st, at 9:30 am at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7110 France Avenue, Edina. Visitation will be prior to the service at 9 am. There will be refreshments following the service with a time for fellowship at the Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Wayside House, Saint Louis Park, MN.
