Obituary of Irvin S. Greger

Irvin S Greger –Age 92 of Richfield, passed away December 22nd, 2016 at his home. Born in Iona, Minnesota at home – August 5, 1924. WWII vet of the Navy and member of VFW 5555 Retired auto mechanic and Mr. fix it. Known for his humor and kind heart. Loved his family and cars. He and his wife loved camping and spent many vacations out west since he was a cowboy at heart. He also loved going to Arizona every year to spend time on his land. Preceded in death by parents Frank & Anna and 2 sisters Gladys and Arlene. Survived by his wife, Florence of 68 years, 3 daughters, 1 son. 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren Kiem Engelen (Pete), Aileen Buckentine (Jerry), Joy Phares (Brett) and Tom Gray (Sharon). Grandchildren: Missy Kloster (Bill), Lou Smithers (Summer), Stacey Hudnut (Matt), Ron Buckentine (Melissa), Connor Phares, Cole Phares, Shelley Powers (Bill), Heather Baden (Mark) Katie Sparks (Jason) Great-grandchildren: Blake, Lance & Gage Kloster; Gavin & Skylar Smithers; Kennedi, Jack & Davis Hudnut; Easton, Addison & Bryn Buckentine; Jobim & Rowan Powers; Grace, Claire & Kate Baden; Harrison & Eloise Sparks Celebration of Irvin's life will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Cremation Society of Minnesota; 7110 France Ave South; Edina, MN 55112; 952-924-4100 with visitation from 11:00-1:00 with a memorial service at 1:00 PM; Luncheon will follow at VFW Post #5555; 6715 Lake Shore Dr S; Richfield, MN 612-869-5555.
