Obituary of Thomas R Farrell

Age 75, passed away peacefully at Southdale Hospital with his daughter, grandson and best friend at his side. He was born in Eau Claire, WI but grew up in Santa Monica, CA. Tom raised his family in Bloomington, MN then moved to Burnsville, MN in 1990. Most currently a resident of Ebenezer Ridgepoint Community. Thomas was a Conductor of the major Railroad corporation, Entrepreneur and a Proud member of The Bloomington Optimist club, where he was member of the year in 1978 and was well respected. Thomas also enjoyed being a horseback trail guide for 15 years in Shakopee, MN where he spent most of his time with his youngest son Bobby. His greatest pastimes included photography, soccer coach for his oldest children, enjoyed watching his oldest grandson Kyle race at Elko Speedway. Playing cards while socializing with his friends at Perkins was his favorite thing to do. He spent time volunteering at the “coffee shop” and was very involved his entire life with helping others. Thomas was well liked by his many friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents (Mary and Thomas) and brother (Jim). Thomas is survived by his three children Thomas J. Farrell (Carrie), Tamera M. Hansen, Robert E. Farrell (Carly) and his grandchildren, Kyle, Riley, Logan, Michael, Nathan, Emily, Gavin, Mason and Cameron. Funeral Services will be held at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center Chapel, 13820 Community Drive, Burnsville, MN 55337 on Thursday December 29th, 2016 at 2:00PM.
