Obituary of Bruce C. Herbert

Bruce C. Herbert, 56, of Duluth, passed away on Jan. 3, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bruce was born Feb. 25, 1960 in Duluth to Ronald and Ann Herbert. He grew up in Duluth and moved to Pueblo, Colo., where he lived for many years. He was employed by BF Goodrich Aerospace. Bruce married Tammy Cole in 1990. He enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling and four wheeling. Bruce later moved to Wisconsin, residing in Spooner and then Trego. He was a talented craftsman and made many beautiful woodwork creations. Bruce had an assortment of pets including dogs, cats, chickens, geese, a rooster and an iguana. Courage comes through suffering and Bruce never once complained about his cancer and what he went through. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Herbert in 1992. He is survived by his mother, Ann Herbert of Solon Springs, and Bradenton, Fla.; his brothers, Chris Herbert of Duluth, and James Herbert of Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Shawna Betts of Duluth; two nieces, Brianna Betts of Duluth and Leigha Herbert of Bradenton, Fla. The family would like to thank the staff at Essentia for the care they gave Bruce during his cancer treatments and during the end of his life. Private gathering with family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests memorials to Animal Allies of Duluth.
