Obituary of Mardge Naslund

Mardge (Nelson) Naslund, 92. Our family is sad to announce the sudden passing of our mother at her home, Jan 4, 2017. She was very proud to have lived in her home for over 63 years and remain as independent as possible. During World War II Mardge worked as a clerk at the FBI in Washington, D.C. and then as a munitions worker at Badger Ordinance Works in Baraboo, Wis. After the war she and Herbert married and settled in the Woodland neighborhood where she joined the E. R. Cobb volleyball team that won several city championships in the Duluth women's recreation league. Mardge worked at Minnesota Woolen Co and then at the Duluth Clinic until her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert (1967); her brother, Elmer and four sisters, Helen, Evelyn, Mary Jane and Joyce. Mardge is the loved mother of Dianne (Larry) Sicinski of Hamilton, Ontario and Janet (Rodger) Lindgren, Palisade, Minn.; proud grandmother of Janet (Grey) Fairley, Laura (Joe) Parkinson, Anna (Richard) Drummond, Brita (Trent) Edgerton, Krista (Neal) Roettger and Svea (Adam) Dagan; great-grandmother of Brad, Kevin, Noah, Michaela, Quinn, Grant, Annika and Neta; and aunt to several loved nieces and nephews.
