Obituary of Bonnie Wolden

Bonnie Wolden, 70, of Superior, passed away Thursday Jan 5, 2017 in Duluth, due to complications from a fall. Bonnie was born Dec. 16, 1946, and grew up in Lake Elmo, Minn. She attended Stillwater High School, and went to college in River Falls, Wis., getting a BA degree in teaching. After living in Minnesota and California for a time, she moved to the Duluth/Superior area, where she put her education to use working in the Duluth school system. Her warm friendly style and personality served her and the school district well, and she moved through various positions within the school system, eventually retiring in 2013 from her position as the principal of the Lester Park Elementary School. She was a loving, wonderful person, active in the educational and volunteer community, and spent a good deal of her time creating art and craft items she would share with all of us. She will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by parents, Vincent and Lena (Sullwold) Anderson; stepmother, Marion (Nordby) Anderson; stepbrother, Charles Nordby. Survived by daughter, Phaedra Torres; son, David Wolden; granddaughter, Teagan Torres; sister, Sandra Godden; brothers, Roger (Judy Gleason) Anderson, Donald (Lois) Anderson; stepbrothers, Robert (Dina) Nordby, Alan (Kathryn) Nordby, William Nordby, Barry (Connie) Nordby, Brian (Sherry) Nordby, stepsister in law, Gail Nordby.
