Romae Marinovich

Obituary of Romae Marinovich

Romae “Mitzie” Marinovich, age 89, of Minneapolis, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 6, 2017. She is in the arms of our Dad, her loving husband. A joyous spirit, outspoken and young at heart, she lit up a room with her smile and always "dressed to the nines." Her ability to make us all feel special while being so different is perhaps the greatest political brilliance of all time. She left us too soon but not alone. She will be missed by all who knew her. Especially her friends here and in Naples, her Par 3 Swingers foursome, the Late Bloomers Garden Club and of course St. Vincent DePaul. Please remember her when heart-shaped blessings grace your day. Survived by children: John (Mary Marsden), Karen (Dick Roles), Pam (Richard Lemke), Merrie (Gene Ellis), Mara, Tani (Charles Kouyoumjian), Michael (Kristen), Mia (Tone Martone); grandchildren, Corey and Pete Lemke, Jennie (Matt Chappuis), Maddie and Gabbie Brown, Meaghan and Charlee Marinovich, Morgan, Mackenzi and Maggie Marinovich, Benjamin and Coco Kouyoumjian, Carmella, Lucia and Romae Martone, Anders and Miles; great-grandchildren, Gabby Lemke, Hattie, Harper, Hildey and Holdyn Chappuis. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Friday, January 20th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5029 Zenith Avenue South, Minneapolis. Visitation Thursday, January 19th from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina and 9:30 – 11:00 am at church on Friday. Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kaylasdirectory.org
