Obituary of Jack Monchamp

Jack Monchamp, 67, longtime resident of Duluth and Proctor, died at noon on Sunday, Jan. 8, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born in Duluth, on May 2, 1949 to Lewis and Julia (Luchau) Monchamp. He was an enrolled member of the Leech lake Band and attended Lincoln Elementary and Lincoln Junior High. He was a retired iron worker (local 563) whose jobs took him to many parts of the country. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Darlene Rainey. Jack is survived by Gloria Graham and their son, Michael Monchamp; son, Jesse and daughter Ginger; siblings, Shirley (Roger Larsen) Nelson; Larry (Roberta "Birdie") Monchamp, James (Linda) Monchamp, Sharon Monchamp-Tucker and many nieces and nephews. VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Wednesday, Jan. 11, in Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
