Obituary of Yvonne C. Bublitz

Yvonne C. Bublitz, age 80, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2017 at N.C. Little Hospice in Edina. Yvonne was a proud lifelong resident of Bloomington. Born June 23, 1936. She was a 1954 graduate of Bloomington High School and worked as a Secretary for many years. Yvonne was one of the dedicated founders of the Normandale Japanese Garden at Normandale Community College in Bloomington. She was a lifetime member of the Bloomington Affiliated Garden Clubs. She loved spending time with family, caring for flowers and plants and telling people of her heritage as one of the first families to settle in Bloomington. She is survived by her daughters Joanne Mallon (John), Mary Sticha (Paul), son Tom Ticen (Tricia), stepdaughter Shawn Biggers (Mike), and 15 grandchildren. Yvonne was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Ticen, husband, Jim Bublitz, parents Leo and Myrtle Pahl, siblings, Wayne, Donald, Marilyn, Jean and infant brother Warren. Visitation at 10 a.m. with Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Richfield, Minnesota. Interment will be at Bloomington Cemetery.
