Obituary of Stephen Dale Long

Long, Stephen Dale, of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, passed away at the age of 61, three days before his 62nd birthday on January 13th, 2017. He had many jobs during his lifetime. The bulk of his career, he worked for the insurance industry, most notably Prudential and GWNLA. He also worked for EMPI and Edina Pediatrics. The last three years, due to ESRD, he was only working part time for Coburns. He had been in the army, but never thought of himself as a veteran, even though his family did. His favorite pastime had been playing softball. He had also been a softball umpire for the USSSA. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but he'll never be forgotten because his spirit lives in all of us who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Karen Lynn Sundstrom-Long; his parents, Earl and Irma Long; his siblings, Randal E and Lyn Long, Paul D Long, Dennis L. and June Long, Patrick D. and Teri Long, Colleen F. Anderson (Long) and her spouse, Stephen Anderson; his nieces, Jennie Wunderlich, Samantha Will, Sara Long, Holly and Katie Anderson; nephews, Paul Long, Jr. and Dennis Long, Jr. and many other family members and friends. His funeral will be held on February 4th, 2017 at 11am at Bridgewood Community Church, 11670 Lexington Avenue NE, Blaine, MN 55449. Memorials preferred.
