Obituary of Rose Marion Hoffman

HOFFMAN (Dowden), Rose M., 86, of Coon Rapids, passed away January 14th, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Terrence Paul Hoffman and loyal dogs, Poppie, Maddie, and Fritzi. She’ll be deeply missed by her children, Steve, Kevin, Kathleen (Craig) Schafer, Jane (Chad) Filley, and Rory; grandchildren, Kyle (Katie) Schafer, Betsy Schafer, Ariel (Adam) Keller, Trent Filley, Logan Schafer, Tyrel Filley, Cordell Hoffman, Isaiah Filley; her relatives (half of Wisconsin); many good friends, and a couple folks she never liked. Rose could be a tad bit exasperating and even more cantankerous, but her laugh could melt one’s heart. She loved sitting in her pink bathrobe watching the birds and petting Bunny. She loved all things canine (especially Golden Retrievers), but cats, not so much. The Celebration of Life service will be at 11 am Saturday Jan. 28 at Peace Lutheran, 20 Northdale Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, 763-757-4459 with visitation one hour before service at church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Animal Humane Society or RAGOM.
