Obituary of Shirle Mae McNeal

Shirle McNeal was born on May 10, 1937, and passed away on July 9, 2018, from complications of Alzheimer's Disease, in the presence of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Bridges and Zora Barron, stepfather Lario Barron, and younger sister, Kay Barron Tracy. She is survived by her husband, Jerry McNeal, and children Justin McNeal, Kristofor McNeal (wife Anni Friesen), Gillian McNeal, Kimberley McNeal Pearson (husband Mark), Michael McNeal (wife Roisin), and grandson, Finn Pearson. Also survived by sister Diana Barron Hink (husband Gary) and brother Sean Barron (wife Maria). Shirle will be remembered for her love of gardening, painting, reading, puzzles, and being surrounded by her family. Her quick wit, sense of humor, and zest for life were beloved hallmarks of her character. A special thanks to the loving staffs of BeeHive Homes of Excelsior and Brighton Hospice for their care and concern for Shirle. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018, at Excelsior United Methodist Church (881 Third Avenue, Excelsior, MN 55331). Visitation begins at 10:00 am, followed by service at 11:00 am. Memorials preferred to either the Alzheimer's Association or Excelsior United Methodist Church.
