Obituary of Albert R. Williams

Albert R. Williams, Jr., 73, of Lake Nebagamon, Wis. died on, Jan. 20, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Born Feb. 4, 1943, in Superior he was the eldest child of Albert Sr. and Verna Williams. Little Al spent his childhood in Maple, Wis. and attended Northwestern High School. In July of 1960, he enlisted into the United States Navy serving in several ports of call within the Pacific Fleet to include a deployment to Vietnam. After an Honorable discharge of Active Duty service in 1979, Little Al joined the Fleet Reserve until he retired from the United States Navy in 1989. During this time Little Al brought his family back to Wisconsin residing in Lake Nebagamon. Albert is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sr., and Verna and an infant sister, Ruth. Albert is survived by his wife, Blandina; his children, Ardie (Brad Buechner), Belinda; his grandchildren, Brian and Connar Wheeler and Barrett Buechner; his sister, Irma (Eugene Cooper), and his brothers, Tom (Patricia), Roger (Roxy) Williams. Mass: will be held 11 a.m. on Monday Jan. 30 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 11648 East County Road B, Lake Nebagamon, Wis 54849. Arrangements provided by Cremation Society of Minnesota. The family would like to give a special thanks to Veteran Affairs Medical Center of Minneapolis, Dr. Gallito and the care team staff at Twin Ports VA OPC and the caring nurses at St. Mary's Medical Center.
