Obituary of Steven R. Frederickson

Age 70, of Minneapolis, MN passed away Thursday, January 26 of natural causes. Born in Minneapolis, MN on December 15, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles Oscar & Helen Emma (Thompson) Frederickson. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Gary. He is survived by daughter, Mandy; brother Mark; sister-in-law Suzanne Frederickson; and two nephews, Gordon and Steve Frederickson. He was a life-long aficionado of British motorcycles (Triumph, Norton, and BSA) since the age of 16. Steven served in the armed forces during the Vietnam War and earned a bronze star. He later met Jeanette, with whom he had over 34 years of marriage before divorcing in 2014. Along this ride, he adopted Jeanette's deaf daughter and he even learned American Sign Language to communicate with her. The family traveled to numerous countries and he himself has touched upon 7 continents. Steven was truly a jack of all trades: handyman, salesman, boat restorer, motorcycle expert, storyteller, generous friend, father, husband, brother, and uncle. He will be tremendously missed. A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later time as determined by Mandy Frederickson.
