Obituary of Ned Jerome Cedergren

Ned Jerome Cedergren, age 50, of Burnsville, MN, passed away on January 27, 2017, surrounded by his family and friends. Ned was born on August 26, 1966. He grew up in Bloomington, MN. Whether enjoying a summer’s day fishing from a dock, or drilling a hole in the ice and dropping a line, Ned loved fishing. If not fishing, you might find him tinkering with something until he got it working ‘Ned style.’ He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ned will be remembered for his sense of humor and the ‘good’ advice he shared with others. With Ned there was never a goodbye, just the comment, “See you in church.” He is preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and his nephew Blake Hagert. Ned is survived by his parents Curtis (Connie) Cedergren of Finlayson and Eleanore Cedergren of Bloomington; sisters Leah (Bill) Thurman of Hibbing, Marla (Dean) Hietala of Becker, Trudy Hagert of Apple Valley, and Heidi Cedergren of Farmington; nieces and nephews Beau (Amy)Thurman, Cody (Bethany) Thurman, Bailey Hagert, Sierra Hietala, Sawyer Hietala, and Carter Hietala; and special friend Maggie Cedotal. Per Ned’s request, there will be no formal service.
