Obituary of Michael Tingley

Michael Tingley, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, age 58 after complications from heart surgery. Mike will be remembered by his best friend and partner of four years, Ryan. Mike is survived by his partner, Ryan Hanish of Shakopee: father, Harold Tingley of Jackson, MI; brothers, Scott Tingley of Jackson, MI and Marc Tingley and his wife Christy of Cordova, TN; four nieces; one nephew; great-niece and great-nephew. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Tingley; sister-in-law, Sue Tingley and grandparents. Mike enjoyed camping, motorcycles, playing piano and organ, singing, hand bell choir, cooking, traveling and spending time with Ryan. Mike graduated from Northwest High School Class of ‘76 in Jackson, MI. Mike had a big heart and knew how to love unconditionally and knew how to take life by the horns. The family wishes to thank Methodist Hospital and the Minnesota Masonic Home for their care. A Celebration Of Life will be held at Transfiguration Lutheran Church 11000 France Ave S. Bloomington, MN 55431 at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 6. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Transfiguration Lutheran Church, the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
