Obituary of June Marilyn Agostino
June was born May 9, 1930 a child of the Great Depression. She died January 31, 2017, a child of the King.
She was born to Scandinavian parents Hilary and Gerda Tilleskjor in Minneapolis. The youngest of four, she was sister to Gerald, Clyde and Colleen.
She met and fell in love with Sam Agostino during a chance encounter at the drinking fountain of Washington Junior High. They later married and raised their six children in Duluth: Julie (Roger) Hill, Mike (Mary) Agostino, Jeanne (Tom) Andrew, Joanne (Richard) Klang, Mark Agostino and Jodie (Larry) Rudd.
She left an indelible mark on her children as well as her grandchildren: Tony, Nathan, Jessica, Aaron, Natalie, Jori, Leigha and Kortnee. Her great-grandchildren number nineteen.
Our mother always had our love for making our young lives so special in so many ways. We adored her for her inward and outward beauty, for her culinary skills and fashion sense and for modeling throughout her lifetime how to love and care for others.
Most importantly, she has our eternal gratitude for planting the seed of faith when we were children. For it is our redeeming faith in Christ that will one day reunite us. Thank you, Mom.
If you met our mother at some point in your life we know you will remember her fondly, and that is worth a smile.
A private memorial to celebrate her life will be held by family.
"GEE WHIZ" we miss her.
