Obituary of Harley Arthur Luttrell

Luttrell, Harley Arthur Jr. age 84 of Maplewood, MN Passed away peacefully Feb 6, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Harley A. and Mabel Viola Luttrell, sister Beverly Davidson. Survived by wife of 61 years, Shirley, Sons John (Jackie) and James (Jamie), granddaughters Samantha and Nicole, grandsons Joseph and Tyler, brother Peter (Jo) 4 nieces and 4 nephews, cousins and friends. Harley attended Wilson High School '51 and the University of Minnesota. Served in the U.S. Navy and then worked at Northern States Power for 40 years. Coached boys' baseball and hockey. Volunteered at Courage Center, Nature Center, and Maplewood Care Center. Loved hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, and traveling throughout U.S. and 16 foreign countries. Was an excellent repairman-he could fix anything! Visitation Feb 9 5-8pm and Memorial service Feb 10 12:00 both at Lutheran Church of Peace (47 S. Century Ave Maplewood). Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Lutheran Church of Peace or National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota.
