Obituary of Violet Larson

Larson, Violet (Lorentzen) Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 86 of Bloomington, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Feb 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Larson; brother Harold Lorentzen, and twin sister Verna Storest. Survived by her 5 children, Dian Holzemer, Kirby (Sally) Larson, Greg (Sheila) Larson, Lori (Dave) Meslow & Jay Larson; grandchildren: Haley (Peter) Jordan, Kelsey (Steve) Cornett, Chad Larson, Lee (Spencer) Nowling, Alex & Lindsay Holzemer (Joe Troop), Sophia Violet & Eric (Courtney) Larson, Dana & Kara Meslow; great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Aliya, Alivia & Shea. Also survived by 2 siblings & their spouses: Pearl (Lorentzen) & Earl Grave, Muriel Lorentzen, and Ron & Pat Lorentzen, as well as many nieces, nephews. Vi was a devoted mother, and member of the Emmaus Lutheran Church where she served as pianist for almost 30 yrs. She also taught countless piano students, & produced several recitals. Vi was a member of many women's devotitional groups & Bible studies. Visitation will take place on Thursday, Feb 16th from 10-11 am at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 8443 2nd Ave. S., Bloomington and Service will begin at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emmaus Church in Violet's honor.
