Obituary of Alan Everett Gross

Alan Everett Gross. Loyal Vikings, Gophers, and Twins fan. Alan passed away on February 23, 2017 surrounded and loved by his family. Alan, the son of William and Elsie (Hartwig) Gross was born in Minneapolis on March 18, 1939. Alan is preceded in death by both of his parents and loving sister, Gael Holzer. He is survived by his wife Ruth Ward-Gross & children: Peter Gross (Sara Shannon), Elizabeth (Joseph) Hilbourn, Amy (Nader) Nasr, Shelly (Stephen) Anderson, David Ward (Yen Pham-Ward), and his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alan was an Inventor and patent holder who received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1962. He worked for multiple technology corporations spanning from medical, to microwaves, to robotics. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 at Colonial Church of Edina; 6200 Colonial Way, Edina, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to a charity of choice, Colonial Church of Edina, or Community Emergency Service cesmn.org
