Obituary of Louis Gonzalez

Louis Gonzalez, age 78, of Richfield, died February 28, 2017. Survived by wife, Susan “Susie”; sons, Robert (Joan) and Alexander (Simoné); three grandchildren: Jake, Karsten and Joshua; sisters, Margaret, Lily, Eva and Emily (Texas) and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Born in 1938 to Tomasita and Esteban Gonzales in Nixon, Texas, Lou “Tito” lived the American Dream – with hard work comes rewards. Lou’s best retirement job ever: Fort Snelling Golf Course! He loved camping, fishing, golf and a good cigar with brandy. We celebrate Lou’s life and thank those who cared for him at the Minnesota Vet’s Home Day Center and residence; Fairview Southdale Hospital, Doctors Ledder and Stein and also the N.C. Little Memorial Hospice. Lou was a patient and loving hubby, dad, grandfather, brother and friend. Lou attended and enjoyed the support and rich fellowship of the Judson Memorial Baptist Church. Memorial Service at the Minnesota Vet’s home Sunday, March 12, 2017, 12:30 p.m.. Private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Request no flowers. Memorials preferred to the Minnesota Vet’s Home or TRUST, Inc. (Meals on Wheels/ neighborhood visiting nurse programs).
