Obituary of Robert J. Cavallin

Robert James Cavallin, 69, of Two Harbors, MN passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth after a brief battle with cancer. Bob was born March 8, 1949 in Two Harbors to Swaney and Margaret Cavallin. He grew up in Waldo and graduated from THHS in 1967. He worked at Nord Auto, Reserve Mining, and JC Campbell before starting a 31-year career with the City of Two Harbors, where he retired in 2006. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially camping and fishing with his sons and wife Lolly, whom he married in 2002. He also took pride in his immaculate yard and organized garage. He never sat still for long. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steve; and his sister-in-law, Bev. He is survived by his wife, Lolly; sons Curt (Christina) and Tim (Sara) Cavallin and David (Carrie) and Tim (Cyd) Bolen, grandchildren Ashlynn, Alexa and Carter Cavallin and Arabella, Brody, Brock, and Fiona Bolen; siblings Don, Gary (Kathy), and twin brother Bill (Shay) Cavallin, Susan (Bob) Stokes, and Mary (Tom) Simonson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am service on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors. Luncheon to follow at the Two Harbors Moose Lodge.
