Obituary of Francis John Yaeger

11/14/21-3/19/17 of Minneapolis and everywhere. Preceded in death by parents Martin and Catherine (Zeyen) Yaeger and sisters Ada Bauer, Marge Saathoff and Eleanor Speltz. Survived by the light and love of his life, fellow traveler, dance partner, and wife of 62 years Ruth, son Larry (Sue), daughter Cathy (Dave Lombard); grandchildren Matt (Karen) and Candice Yaeger, Joey, Emma and Pat Lombard, two step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren Lexii, Damien, and Angealise. Frank traveled the world on the GI Plan (USMC, USN and USCG) before meeting Ruth and going a few million miles more, with her at his side. Together they lived in nine states and territories and visited dozens more. They danced, bowled, golfed, hiked and camped the years away. Frank lived with gusto and showed everyone how to embrace every moment. A celebration of his life will be held 10 AM Monday 3/27 at St. Leonard of Port Maurice Catholic Church, 3949 Clinton Ave So., Minneapolis. Reception follows in church hall. Interment Monday afternoon at Ft. Snelling.
