Obituary of Reinold Clyde Athey

It is with extremely sad and heavy hearts to announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle, and grandfather Reinold Clyde Athey. He passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 67. It has left us all with a bittersweet feeling of a great loss of a wonderful man but also the relief knowing he is resting in peace and will always be in our hearts and memories. As you all know he was truly one of a kind. We will all miss his quick wit, unbelievable sense of humor, his infectious laugh, and his giving heart. Reinold lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing poker, hunting, fishing but most of all gathering with his family & friends for BBQ's, pig roasts and card parties. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Donna and brothers, Art, Joe & Melvin. Survived by his sons Dennis (Lonnie), Jeff, daughter, Jen, brothers Damon (Jeanne) & Charlie (Debbie) and sisters Suetta & Pam and his beloved grandchildren Alyson, Jaxson, Zoe & Sydnee. He is also loved and will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends. Memorial Services A visitation is scheduled to be held on March 24th from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota located at 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN. There will be a private interment on Friday, March 31st at 12:15 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
