Obituary of MaryAnn E. McClure

McClure, MaryAnn E Saint Paul, MN Passed away Wed March 22nd in comfort and surrounded by love. MaryAnn was born in Colfax, WI June 10th, 1936. Survived by husband Roger of 58yrs, daughter Monique McClure-Hegge(Brad), brother Dale Rostamo and Grandchildren Jereme and Jessica Jackson. Preceded in death by parents, Erling and Delilah Rostamo, daughter Michele McClure, sister BetsyLee Spagnoletti, nephew, Randy Rostamo, sister in law, Helen Rostamo and several cousins. After graduating from Colfax high school, she joined the Women’s Army Corp. She trained as a Medical Technician. After training she was stationed at Fitzsimons Army Hospital in Denver, CO. After discharge she worked in Mpls. She then moved on to attend college on her GI Bill at the University of WI, Eau Claire for 1 year. She came back to Saint Paul as an LPN and ran the office of Drs. Beek and Hollingshead until their retirement. She then moved to Saint Paul Surgeons and served in the same role and eventually retired from there. She was very active in the National Association of Letter Carriers Auxiliary; she served as President of the Saint Paul chapter and also for the state of MN. She was elected as the Treasurer for the National Board of the NALC Auxiliary also. She served in several capacities for the local PTA. She was very active in her church, Grace Lutheran Saint Paul. She served on many committees and also in the capacity of President. Upon her and Roger’s retirement they set out to travel the nation and the globe and accomplished those dreams. She took a very special last trip to Norway with Monique and Brad in 2010 and all had a fantastic time. MaryAnn will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, those she loved and her take charge attitude. Service will be April 1st at 11AM with visitation at 10AM, an hour prior to service. MaryAnn will be interned at a later date at Ft Snelling National Cemetery with full honors. Memorials preferred to Grace Lutheran Church, 1730 Old Hudson Rd, St. Paul, MN .
