Obituary of Mark John Eggen

Age 60 of Minneapolis passed away March 22, 2017. Born in Bemidji , MN and grew up in Grand Rapids , MN . Graduate of Hibbing Community College (1977). Mark worked as a chef at various restaurants and delicatessens in the Twin Cities. He volunteered his time and energy at Vail Place Minneapolis for over twenty years. Preceded in death by father, Byron. Survived by his partner of 18 years, Joe Sehl; mother, Margaret Rounds; sister, Karen Eggen (Don Cempel); nephews, Joe and Dan; step siblings, Kevin, Greg, Shawn and their families; other relatives and many friends. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held Friday, March 31st, 12 noon at Cremation Society of MN, 4343 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis. Visitation one hour before service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Vail Place Minneapolis.
