Obituary of James Arlin Orre

James Arlin Orre, 71, of Twin Valley, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Andover, Minnesota after a short cancer battle. James was born March 14, 1947 in Ada, Minnesota and was the first of seven children born to John and Violet (Annis) Orre. He grew up and attended school in the Gary, Minnesota area. During the 1960s he trained with the Job Corps in San Francisco and became an autobody painter. In 1970, he married Lynette Halvorson. Together, they had three children: Jennifer, Marissa, Elizabeth and owned a successful autobody shop in the Minneapolis area. Jim retired to Twin Valley, Minnesota where he enjoyed reading, biking, and watching sports. James was preceded in death by his father, John Orre, and his son-in-law, Alan Adamson. He is survived by his daughters; Jennifer (Jason) Hemp of Andover, MN, Marissa Orre (Todd Gist) of Bloomington, MN, and Elizabeth Adamson of London, England as well as his mother, Violet Orre; six siblings; ten grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A private remembrance will be held.
