Obituary of Shirley Isabel Johnson

Shirley Isabel Johnson, 86 of Superior passed away peacefully on March 24, 2017 in St. Luke's Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born Aug. 17, 1930 to Thomas and Eugenia Carroll. On May 5, 1951 she married the love of her life, Donald G. Johnson and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Shirley enjoyed reading, baking, shopping and spending time with family, especially traveling to watch her grandchildren's activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia Kofal and brother, Jim Carroll. She is survived by her husband, Don; children, Ken, Duane (Patty), Hudson, Wis., Gary (Becky), Peggy (Tim) Olson, Superior; Tom (Liz), Gordon; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Perlov and Dr. Karwoski and the caring staff at St. Lukes Hospital for their kind care. VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Thursday, March 30 in Country Peace Presbyterian Church, 4694 S. County. Rd. A, Superior. A private interment will be held at a later date.
